10/2 - Alpha Strike Gameplay!
This week started Aces Scouring Sands! I'm an AS novice still, but the Aces campaign system has us excited - only did the simulator mission so far (10/10 VP btw, to humble brag). The groupchat is now in deep deliberation building our merc company😂

Alpha Strike: I really want to like it, but the standard dice rolls are something I highly dislike as well as the sheets(cards). To me, it loses its individuality for each mech and that hinders me. That being said, I love playing it with my kids!

Alpha Strike is great because I field so many more units, and units I wouldn't field in Classic. I like the speed of play, true LOS, terrain, plus how it plays like a traditional wargame.
And let's not forget ACES, where I can play solo!

First day of #mechtober and classic tabletop is it. I came through via novels and video games in 90s, when local second hand bookshop helpfully pointed out there was also a tabletop game, we checked catalog and this Rules of Warfare book stood out. Lived in my high school backpack played at lunch.

It’s #mechtober and I finally got to play a game of classic @battletech.bsky.social at my FLGS.
Had a great time with my old 80s miniatures 🤣

Beginning #mechtober talking about my love for Classic BT and painting up the last of my Raven Alliance Beta Galaxy trinary, at least the mechs. I plan on expanding the mercenary attaché as well as adding a battle armor and vehicle support star.

Why? I have no idea, these aren't Nova Cats!

I have played Classic Battletech in a few sessions and did have fun. I want to get better at it and have a better understanding of how it all works. I have the new Starter Box to learn with.

10/1 - Classic Gameplay!

Most recent game from the other week, our LGS campaign system, we raided a water-supply depot of a local warlord. I used a stock Javelin, and despite its fragility, i managed to finish off the kill on two enemies with my sandblasting of SRMS!

1 October - Classic Battletech
I like the strategy needed to play. Facing and terrain, checking range brackets, and making sure that you are maximizing your defense.
I love how quickly you can get a game of Classic going. Lay down a map and roll dice
