Oh dear! Hope you feel better soon, Hannah.

First birds of my day: a trio of honking Greylag Goose flying South, a charm of twenty seven Goldfinch twittering wildly and flitting away from the treetops as a lone Red Kite circled low above them.

Ungrateful bird. A robin inexpertly singing in the front garden, rather hoarse and unsure of itself. A cuffle of starlings picking the wet grass in the park quite separate from the crows. A dead juv magpie soggy and multi coloured in the allotment track . Just one moth #FirstBirdofMyDay

First bird of my day: a buzzard mewing and circling the hillside on a calm, grey morning. Hope you feel better soon. #Firstbirdofmyday

First bird of my day: my crow honking at me rather angrily because I had overslept because he doesn’t fully understand or care that I’m not very well. #firstbirdofmyday #whatsyours

#FirstBirdOfMyDay: Mockingbird, vociferously (take that, auto-correct!) disgruntled that I passed through their territory on my walk through the neighborhood.

The first ‘bird’ I saw today was a Hummingbird Hawkmoth at dawn.
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: was a Jackdaw & his companions heading out for the day

#firstbirdofmyday our garden robin bobbed on the back of chair as if to welcome me to the day. Closely followed by pair of dunnocks in courtship? And returning blue tit investigating nesting boxes.

Maggie was back this morning claiming first bird position. She has been ignoring me since I ‘abandoned’ her to go on holiday, and pretended not to know me when I saw her in next door’s garden 😄 #firstbirdofmyday #whatsyours

Moin.

#October is here, and I feel at home. Plus, I got pain. So, slow is the pace.

#FirstBirdOfMyDay was a robin announcing itself to the backyard.

How are you?

First birds of my day: a trio of loudly honking Canada Geese passing South overhead, while a quartet of Carrion Crow carked and a trio of Magpie rattled from the rooftops below.

First bird of my day. A herring gull pacing back and forth along the ridge of a roof, like a worried parent. #FirstBirdOfMyDay

First bird of my day: a flock of wood pigeons taking off from a dew covered field on a cool, bright morning. #Firstbirdofmyday

First bird of my day (and it was very quiet put there this morning) was a chiffchaff, gently calling from the Millennium Woodland. Looks like it might be going to spend the winter.

A lovely start to October here. Two birds to choose from today. A jackdaw popping out of next door's chimney and a young dunnock whistling on our back fence. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
