We start off this Digimon Tamers movie with some Digimon Adventure cameos (Omnimon & Apocalymon)

The restoration work also made it feel like new again, it was great going back to that final year of Fox Kids and hearing these characters again. All and all, "Battle Of Adventurers" so far is the best of the three movies...so far. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

But...that in now way made this movie bad. This was a great entry, especially if you're a Tamers fan. It keeps with the tone of the original show and, in a good way, feels like an extended ep that can be placed somewhere right before they go to the Digiworld. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

I was legit shocked that it just ended with our heroes saying "Bye" and a brief montage. That really felt abrupt when other Digimon movies or franchises gave a more satisfying conclusion to similar stories (Pokemon 3, anybody?) #Digimon #DigimonTamers

It's for those reasons I actually felt they were gonna pull a twist to show the Digimon alive and with her in the end. It's a sad death and a noble sacrifice...but both felt hollow due to the time crunch not giving them time to bond, I thought it was gonna be undone. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

Wouldn't it mean more if we saw the new Digimon try to bond with her, but her mourning for her original dog kept that from happening until the final act? Wouldn't we be a bit more sad if we saw that the Digimon helped her heal only for it to die in the form OF her dog? #Digimon #DigimonTamers

See, naturally we're supposed to feel sad when she calls out her dead pet, showing the bond, right before the Digimon vanishes. And it is a sad moment...but due to not giving enough time for the bond, it's because we're TOLD it's a sad moment. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

...or run back to back with another movie via a roadshow. I don't know where "Battle Of Adventurers" falls under, but it could've used just a few more minutes to establish the new Digimon, the girl, and their bond. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

But...there's also some bad...and that's the fault of the movie's length. Most anime movies, especially those based on TV shows, tend to run short. This is either because the script called for it due to it being an extended ep... #Digimon #DigimonTamers

None of the new characters were really annoying, and they REALLY toned down the forced jokes that were in 01, 02, and the last movie's dub. The battles were great to watch and I liked that none of them were easy, makes every victory felt earned. #Digimon #DigimonTamers

And we...end? Huh...not gonna lie, thought there'd be a twist or something. #Digimon #DigimonTamers
