A Cedar Waxwing flies into the lowering sun on a fair September evening. I like her angel like pose and the fact that you can clearly see the little wing extensions on the trailing edge of her wings (that would appear bright red in another light) from which her species derives its name.

Five Barn Swallows with dark blue-brown heads, backs and tails and buffy fronts with a dark brown necklace, and some with cinnamon throats. This group was sitting on top of a silver rail of a pedestrian bridge, with silver bridge supports below. There's another silver rail behind them, as well as trees covered with green leaves. Seen at Stony Brook Wildlife Sanctuary in Norfolk, Massachusetts.
