Film #390 / Day 14.2: Murders in the Rue Morgue

It's not bad but it certainly isn't great. Average at best. Bela Lugosi does the best he can but most of the film is just dreadful or people acting like the guy in the obvious ape costume is a threat. #31DaysOfHorror

#Hope Damn, how big of a set did they have to destroy? They def ran that old man's tale longer than expected for sure. This movie was far better than expected. They need another of these soon! Rule of thumb: don't shoot the alien baby. #31DaysOfHorror #horrormovie #horror #horrorsky

Day 14: 31 Days of Horror: Now watching: Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde 1920 👨🏼‍⚕️👼👹 #firstwatch

This film has been remade time and time again. This is the first time I’ve ever seen the original, silent film 😱 The history 📖 of horror 💀 is so important!

Watching John Carpenter’s In the Mouth of Madness (1994) for Day 14 of #31DaysofHorror. In my opinion, Carpenter’s last great film. Sam Neill is fantastic, the music is groovy, and it has such a great infusion of Lovecraft and King. #horror #31daysofhalloween #horrormovies #johncarpenter #filmsky

Massive cred to Summer H. Howell and Angela Bettis, but Sissy Spacek is the one and only Carietta. We really don’t need meaty writing when her eyes speak Carrie’s vulnerability, warmth, bewilderment, and wrath on their own. #Carrie #31DaysOfHorror #HorrorSky

Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988)

Watched The Boy Behind the Door as part of #31DaysOfHorror.

I hate movies like this. I don’t like things that can really happen. Abduction/torture movies suck.

I also hate movies that make me yell at the screen.

That said, good movie.

Still hate it and will never watch again.

Scream Blacula Scream: A vampire film with voodoo and a funky soundtrack. On par with Blacula and very much of it's time, enjoyable nonetheless
