Since the Celestial Faith doesn't really do contraception, that makes it one place where people turn to miracle workers of the Old Faith for amulets and potions.

Day to day affairs are run by an elected government, but with the oversight of the queen and the nobility.
The local government's main job is keeping the systems running and management of money, as well as deciding on any new things that need to be done.

In Wertham City, local government is administered by three equally important branches: Money, who makes the rules, City Officials, who cash the bribes, and Organized Crime, who ensures no-one gets any -ideas-. There's also a Mayor and all that jazz, but it doesn't really matter...

An elected Town Council handles the day-to-day administration of West Harewood, coordinating the activities of various citizen-led groups such as the Public Works Collective in accordance with Central Planning's guidelines. Major policy decisions require a Town Assembly vote.

There is also an advisory council composed of elected representatives from each district. Though all decisions are ultimately Lady Bellamy's.

The government's goal is to unobtrusively keep things running smoothly enough for its workings to go unnoticed.

This one is pretty straightforward for the City of Gates. Niona rules and her word is absolute.

Everyone who lives there serves her church, and obeys her. And those who pass through do so by her grace.

No one really challenges her rules. 🧵

Here's art of Zonhaspalis! Also, there are a few things I hadn't decided on at the time that I have answers for.

Zonhaspalis hovers above an artificial lake created by the excavation for the city itself, into which the city's waterfall fountain flows.

Eloy has a mayor (I assume a four-year term, but the website says 2 and 4 at different places!) and 6 city councilmembers, I assume 3 elected every 2 years. 4-year terms. Pretty similar setup to the city where I live. Website says those are their only elected positions. #Septopolis #HistorytownAZ

Before I gave it a real name, I was calling Capria "Jucalor Town." There's a reason for that 😂

Julius & Focalor are the warlord (singular) of Capria. This is a dictatorship by every possible measure. Jucalor delegates a lot of tasks to his trusted inner circle, but he is the boss.

On top is the king, who is elected by the witan council. Below him are the Ealdormen, or governors. Below them are thegns, or nobles. Knights are below them, followed by churls (peasants), with slaves at the bottom.
