Oh jeeze I haven't really *mapped* constellations yet but Lu and his siblings (and Stella) are all named after stars/constellations that match their flame colors

There's a really soft scene where Lu and Sorrel are stargazing and he points out two of his sisters stars. ⬇️

#Octember 8. Character constellations?

Meghan's would be in the shape of a guinea pig & it would be positioned closest to a line of stars that look like Timothy Hay.

Tabatha's constellation would look like a square to some but it would be a weed brownie.

Aaron's would be a knife & blood drop

TODAY’S QUESTION IS:
What would your character’s constellation be? (Draw it, if you want!)

Lots of thoughts for this one!

Despite adding a lot of artwork to mine, I'm lazy about drawing today. ^^"

The Chandrani-Rivera triplets' (Antonio, Fernando, Raj) birthdays are December 15th! So IRL, they're Sagittarius! :D

If I ever imply years incorrectly VS their birthday, it's bc I suck at math.

In canon, it's the second-to-last calendar month on their planet. Their birthday will be celebrated at the end of the upcoming epic science fantasy Blue Horizon Book 2.

(BTW, I asked stackexchange nerds to ascertain their years match ours but with fancier planetary mojo. AKA they aren't secretly 10x younger or 10x older than us at 21 years old, etc. They thought it was astounding that I couldn't do math.)
@ewanstone.ukOct 8, 2026, 6:26 PM

I tried, but it turns out I do not know how to draw on my phone!

Marcus and Rune would have this two-part spiral constellation. Marcus starts at Earth and swings up, Rune starts in space and swings down. They come together in the middle, organic and artificial as one creature.

#Octember

Two spirals, one blue and one green, meeting in the middle. I tried.

Given the pyrean obsession with stars, they almost certainly have constellation signs associated with their namingday/clanschoosing, though none of them would be recognizable from Earth.

Sven's constellation would be some sort of weasel. Alan's is a winged serpent.

I know absolutely nothing, so making these up.

Wyd: a serpent with a forked tongue

Feylie: a centaur with horns

Simon: a sextant

Reena: cupid with a bow and arrow

@adorkablesmile.bsky.socialOct 8, 2026, 4:08 PM

#Octember Maira is probably Sextans. And after sniggering about the name, she'd agree.

The sextant is the tool that represents the Fallen Star and, by extension, Maira. She seeks direction - a sextant would help with that.

Her actual star sign is Libra, which is kinda fitting imo. But if she had a cool otherwordly one, I'd say a phoenix, for rebirth. And other assorted fiery feather related reasons.

So I am just going to reuse everyone’s chapter icons:

Roderika: a sword

Tala: a spyglass

Arlo: an axe (specifically a bardiche, but I would not expect the stars to be that specific)

Henet: a stack of scrolls

Mary: a tea cup

I may attempt to draw these later when I can get to my iPad

@pjccahill.bsky.socialOct 8, 2026, 3:24 PM

I'm awful at this stuff XD going very vague.
Taegen: an octopus
Kyoka: something kingly or symbolizing rebirth
Rieka: a hunter, Orion?
Dominika: a nightingale
Portia: a spider or Arachne
Sulaf: a fisher or a dancer

Pip's alt form is a Greyling called Clarky Kentsworth, and they have a tattooing culture involving constellations. Each adult gets two tattoos, one for strength and one for protection, representing them.

Clarky has the Spring for strength... and of course, the Frog for protection. #octember 📚💙

A sketch of a tattooed arm, labeling each tattoo by meaning - a constellation onthe bicep is "strength symbol", forearm is "protection symbol", about the wrist and near the elbow is 'family binding", back of the hand is "personal ID", and on the thumb is "activation tattoo".A sheet describing meaning behind some tattoos. Three symbols on top, arrangements of triangles, describe "power", "protection", and "resources".

In the middle is a note:

 "Constellation themes
tools & engineering bits
spells
elements"

At the bottom are two tattoos. They are constellations, does marked by connecting lines, and each dot is inscribed with the triangular symbols from the top of the sheet. The tattoos are noted:
"Pip's constellations (as chosen by smooches):
Strength: Spring (doodle of a spring ala a spiral)
Protection: frog :)"

So Peyton's actual star sign is Aquarius (9th Feb '69), some accidental niiice age-of-aquarius wildness. He does appreciate bullshitting shapes whilst stargazing tho. TBH, his constellation would be The Crosshair, as illustrated below. Lad will shoot a black hole between stars for ya! 🎯
#Octember

A quick sketch of a star cluster with tentative lines drawn between to mark out the rough shape of a sniping cross-hair with an empty void at its very centre. I have no idea if anything like this exists in a real clear night sky (I clearly don't stargaze enough), But it seems mildly feasible. The World of Darkness is technically set on Earth, so this should be something viewable from our planet, perhaps in London during the brownouts of the 1970s (which is probs the darkest London's ever getting to stargaze without modern light pollution).

Obviously Bug-Byte's 'Constellation', a 1981 educational program for the 16k ZX81, which features surely the most tortuous means of entering a time and date ever to appear in a serious piece of software.

With zero knowledge on this and work starting in a moment, I am twisting the question.

Kellem is also in the PNW. We don't get stars here, only clouds. So, instead, he is going to get the Wheedle. His nose, like Rudolph's, glows red and he hangs out on the Space Needle.

The Eis star is the first star to appear at night. Vayhne would have a very old book that he would translate a day too late. It would show that the Eis star is where the demons are coming from and it's getting brighter.

Oh, Milly is quite obviously constellation Draco, being half dragon as I've said before.
