Steel Information Center, Crater Lake National Park

The Steel Information Center at Park Headquarters (elevation 6,450 feet) is open daily except December 25th. The current hours are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This view is useful in showing the amount of snow currently on the ground in the park. It can be 10 to 15 feet deep in the late winter and early spring. Image updates every 5 to 7 minutes.

Kolb Studio was the family home and photography studio of the Kolb Brothers, pioneer photographers at Grand Canyon. Verify that the time and date of the picture is current (upper left in image) Camera is hosted by Grand Canyon Conservancy. The image updates every minute.

Mott Island Dock, Isle Royale National Park

Mott Island, Isle Royale National Park's summer headquarters, is the nucleus of operations on the island. It is a barrier island located on the south side of Rock Harbor Channel. The webcam is active on real-time intervals during the summer months when power is available to it, and communicating multiple times per day during the winter when solar power allows.

From one of the highest Isle Royale peaks at 1,133 feet above sea level (roughly 530 feet above Lake Superior), the Middle Islands Passage Webcam, located at the peak of Mount Ojibway, captures a southeastern vantage point. The angle offers views of Lake Superior, Caribou Island at left, Middle Islands at center, and the entrance to Moskey Basin, home of Rock Harbor Lighthouse, at right. Middle Islands Passage is the access point for large vessels sailing in and out of Rock Harbor Channel. The webcam is solar powered and communicates multiple times per day, year-round, when power and communications infrastructure allows.

Use this webcam to help time your South Rim arrival. During fall weekends and holidays, there can be long lines and up to two hour wait times between 10 am and 4 pm. This view refreshes every 5 minutes. Be sure to check the time and date in the image, to be sure it is current.

The entrance station is about 1.6 miles (2.5 km) north of the gateway town of Tusayan, Arizona, and 4.9 miles (7.8 km) south of Grand Canyon Visitor Center.
