Hard work out today. There were several Clouded Yellows and, as is more usual for this time of year, lots of Migrant Hawkers.

Garden Warbler (just one) the avian highlight and only six Blackcap (thats just one bird an hour) and no other sylvia’s - that’s not normal. #KentBirding #KentNature

I’ve been quoted £450 which I accepted 10 weeks ago, still in Austria, not convinced by the supposed excellent customer care #kentbirding

Wryneck in a large gorse clump in the Desert. The patch its in is directly to the east of the Trapping Area by a couple of hundred metres. #kentbirding

An adult Curlew Sandpiper on the beach off the Lifeboat station, amongst a small flock of other small waders. In the brief visit there, a mixture of butterflies arrived in-off the sea including four Clouded Yellows. #kentbirding

An adult Honey Buzzard flew south-east out to sea at 08:00hrs. Singles of Kingfisher and Spotted Flycatcher was the best from a quiet morning's ringing. #kentbirding
