@soundvaulttimeline.bsky.socialOn this day in 1985, the first Farm Aid concert was held in Champaign, Illinois. More than a benefit, it showed how live music could fuse activism, country, and rock into one national event. #FarmAid #MusicHistory #WillieNelson #JohnMellencamp #NeilYoung #BobDylan #CountryMusicHistory #ConcertHisto…

@liamomaraiv.bsky.socialThe inaugural #FarmAid concert was held in Illinois on #ThisDayInHistory in 1985, inspired by the #LiveAid show a few months earlier. Organized by #NeilYoung, #WillieNelson, & #JohnMellencamp, it benefited family farmers, and featured sets by #BobDylan, #BillyJoel, and many more.
@tpucci94.bsky.social41 years ago, the 1st ever #FarmAid took place. The event was inspired by #BobDylan's controversial comments about Live Aid. Farm Aid has been held every year since minus 2020. The 1st Farm Aid was also the 1st time #VanHalen preformed with their new lead vocals #SammyHagar.
@mansafreak.bsky.socialYou #Farmers got Kid Rock, Nikki minage, and the village people. Quit whinning and do your #FarmAid for money. There should be plenty of #MAGA to fill the jobs.
I don't see a problem.
Only solutions. And remember

@mrbunnyulamakins.bsky.socialRemember #FarmAid in 1985? I don't recall a Damn #Repugnant saying it was Socialism. I used to defend farmers when people called them dumb fly over state people. Now knowing a majority of them voted for Trump, I re-assessed my views of them. #FAFOKarma
