I think McLuhan decides to do this to support his argument that the way information is delivered affects us just as much as the actual information. When I saw these pages I had to stop and turn my computer, which made me more aware, rather than just automatically reading words #beingmassaged

This is very relevant to today with AI because now there is a genuine concern that AI may replace us in our jobs, and even kill off mankind in the near future. Interesting that McLuhan was able to think of this question even when technology first arose. #beingmassaged

My first thought when reading this book was this must have been written recently, as the author is talking about technology and how it is affecting lives. However, it was written in 1967 which is interesting because I didn't realize people felt this way even back then. #beingmassaged
