I don’t have a preference within #HeartofOak. I think realistically, this world favors autumn the same way our world did pre-industrialization. I have a month known as “Feast” which I made a modified version of Thanksgiving that celebrates the harvest instead of what ours actually is

Well, in my Hearth WIP, Winter is particularly important as that's when the story starts. You meet the MC, Hallid, as he wanders through a forest as the temperature falls.

It is that deep, by the way.

It depends on the story!
Both Sweet & Wild and my WIP Chicory in the Garden take place over the course of the year, but start and end in spring! New beginnings! 🌼
The Need for Dandelions starts in spring for a similar reason!
And autumn is very important for A Harvest of the Heart! 🍂

My WIP covers a full year, from one New Year's Day to the next. I guess winter is special in the story because it's when the main characters met and then the next winter, their lives return to relative calm. It's a time of safety.

A1: Not really. For me the season is just incidental to the story.

In my latest WIP, it just so happens to begin and end in a winter month. That just because of the timeline.

In Reasonable Accommodations, I didn’t even think about it.

Winterrrr. Technically the story could have taken place in any season but there’s an entire frozen realm which both the MCs spend some time as a prisoner of frost.

#TBBChat In Such Sweet Sorrow, autumn reigns king. There's a lot of symbolism in seasons, and autumn is the coming of the dark and the dying back of the world. Such Sweet Sorrow is all about death and grief, and so a lot of it takes place in autumn into winter.

summer. because the story takes place in the south where summer vacation begins so that means i can have the cast go on the adventure without people wondering about their grades LOL
