Title: Snowbound

Author: Jane Henry, USA Today bestselling author

Performed by: Shiloh James and John Hartley

*****Book review*****

>Writer Unblocking<

Oh, the stalking is deep with this one. LOL! Like giant snow drift deep.

For years, Owen Callahan and Emma Marlowe stayed apart. Alright, so she may not have known where he was. Meanwhile, he was very aware of her comings and goings.

-- Book quote
“I want to be fucked like a dirty girl. Like your dirty girl.”
-- Emma Marlowe

I gotta say, when they turn up the heat, they turn it ALL THE WAY UP! I'm surprised the snow is able to stick to the ground, let alone accumulate. 🌶

-- Book quote
'I wasn’t joking when I said sex unblocks the creativity for me. And sex with Owen? I’m on fire.'
-- Emma

I feel like there are a few missing pieces to the story and some timeline discrepancies. Regardless of that, I do like this book and look forward to more from Jane.

I read along with the audio book. The narrators, John Hartley and Shiloh James, are marvelous. I love their voices. 🫠 🎧❤️🎧

*****Book review*****

>His Light<

THAT is one helluva way to open a book. I wasn't prepared for it, but I certainly am enjoying it! Malice definitely has my vote - whatever we're voting on. 🥵

Crew (Malice, Mal) Lawson & Monroe (Roe, Pixie) St James are so very opposite each other, but I love how they just fit. It's also adorable when he completely softens for her. Sure, the stalking is a little weird, but the sweet gestures are almost enough to get me to overlook that one... socially frowned upon habit. 😄

-- Book quote
"Surviving is the hardest thing any of us will ever do."
-- Monroe St. James

Darkness falls upon the club. I do respect their eye for an eye philosophy even if their methods for meting out justice are a bit much on occasion. Of course, it mixes well with Malice, who lives up to his road name.

For as dark as it can be, there are so many light and funny moments to provide a terrific balance. Be it bowling, meeting the respective families, or some light flirting with the women who make some of their favorite foods, these are the times that really show the characters' depths. 🩷🩷🩷 I won't even go into the smexy times that add another layer of fun. 😉🌶

Prior reading isn't necessary. There are references to the earlier books, but it's nothing that should stop one from enjoying it. I've only read one of them, so I'm speaking from experience.

I listened to the audio book. The narrators, Keturah Quinn & Caden Hart, are marvelous in duet & great for these characters!
