Anything that might be going on in that persons life that caused the initial incident, or mediate between parties at odds.

Anything beyond these simple infractions gets Law Priests involved. Think Grand theft, violent assaults, murder, etc. Whatever the case, a number of Law Priests are

Story that the Guard are meant to break up fights, not win them.

If someone commits an offense that is minor, they get a day to a week in a guardhouse cell, and these punishments can be determined by the Gate Captain of a specific ring. This is the equivalent of someone sleeping off a

The Tower City has two major parties that enforce laws: the Guard and Law Priests.

The Guard are the on the ground force, and their goal is to truly protect and serve. Guardsmen are all trained in deescalation, officers more so. Most aren’t even issued weapons. It is even remarked in

Yeah, this is the arm that enforces the mayor's laws. They do far more harm than good, and the laws they enforce are unreasonable.

#Septopolis 27: Law enforcement

In Eshuun, nomari order rules. Order... not law. The only law is that the strongest Queen rules. She decides what is good for the nom.

Warriors serve as a defense force but can be used to police the Queen's will. They will seize enemies or harmful individuals.

#Septopolis 26. Ah, yes, this will be a long and not very cheerful one because Order is certainly upheld here... but is it a "civil servant system"? Absolutely not. As you probably guessed by now, law enforcement in Or̉el̉īs is… intense. It must be, if they wish to keep 🧵

#Septopolis 26: Government structure

I'm a day behind but this is an important aspect of Eshuun and the nomari.

Each nom has but one Queen. The Queen is not elected or chosen. She chooses herself. When the ruling Queen dies or is killed by a rival, the queen with the most dominant pheromones wins.

They have a regular police force and courts, but there are differences in details. Additionally there are strong social support systems and protections (it's nearly impossible to go homeless or without sufficient food, for example) which reduces crime significantly.

#TheDragonblood: The most important laws in Nemoria are Deiuoreks's laws. These decide whether you get an afterlife or whether your soul gets fed to Angosessor after death.

Do not kill or harm or steal from another member of the Nemorian religion.

Good morning, #Septopolis.

ACAB and all but perhaps your world actually has a functioning civil servant system. Maybe it's self policing with its community. In any case, how is order upheld and what constitutes "order?"

If it fits here... your #Juniplex system may be worth tagging in!

A daily prompt card for #Septopolis 2026, hosted by @khonri.com.

Government & Civics, 27. How are laws enforced here, and are there any unusual laws (either for the setting or to us)? Going wider, is there a local defense force, and what are they used to defend against?

Interpret each prompt as suits your needs! Talk about relevant characters! Yap! Or don't! Develop a new city or whatever or talk about one you already built. Make friends.

The background features a slightly blurred and purple hued image of the upper section of a set photograph of Main Commercial Street in Fritz Lang's Metropolis (UFA, 1927) of towering buildings.

#Septopolis 2026! 9/26 Mukhad's government is as much a religious body as it is political. It's varied over thousands of years, but its basic idea can be described as something of a constitutional monarchy—leaders must be confirmed through special ordination, and interpret religious law for all.

Each province in Seff's country is ruled by a "liege," and the lieges decide nationwide matters together as a council. Each liege owns tremendous resources within their province, and governs mostly to their own advantage and that of other rich people.
If you don't control the resources
