My job for this week- pruning my giant fig tree. I’ve already taken cuttings but will try striking some more. 🌱 #GardensHour

Looking back on September the 'high' has definitely been the roses. This is DA Princess Alexandra of Kent, on her 3rd showing. The blooms are a good size and the scent is wonderful #GardensHour #BloomScrolling #FlowerReport 🌱

Hello #GardensHour,

The highlight for September for me is always those deep, gorgeous colours coming in - the lobelia, the wallflowers and sunflowers, and helichrysum, the last of the roses and that little second flush of foxgloves.

(I forgot to take a pic and now it’s dark.)

Evening all. September low? Not a single strawflower made it to flowerhood this year. September high? Some rain, sun & and a surprisingly rejuvenated garden #GardensHour 🌱

A September high has been the roses, especially the open blooms which have been a huge support for wildlife. Still lots in bloom 🌱 #GardensHour

Hello and welcome to #GardensHour!

Let’s take a look back at the last few weeks - what has been your biggest September high and the any low points in your gardening journey this month?

@gillleo.bsky.socialSep 28, 2026, 7:56 PM

First time growing orange cosmos and seeds saved already for next year. I got the seeds on a Facebook swap page, love the idea of sharing what we have in our gardens. #gardenshour
