Yep devoting part of plot to wildlife!
That's me!

You’d have thought that after 14 years these Emmerdale allotmenteers would know not to dig potatoes with a spade, and not rhyme couch (grass) with couch as in sofa… #GardenersWorld
I'm feeling a little cheated. Only 6 or 7 episodes of #GardenersWorld to go this year, and there was no Monty Don tonight. There wasn't even a glimpse of the crown prince, Adam Frost.
What a cracking squash harvest! I'm definitely giving them a go next year.

No mention yet the dreaded flea beetles... They love brassicas too -
(Had mine quite early on...)
Praps "Nows the time" as Frances said for me to try again...
Some to learn all the time is indeed part of the joy of being an #allotment plot holder. But also any kind of gardeners, or even indoor house plant grower. And with changing conditions, new pests and new plant varieties constantly appearing, there's always more to learn! #GardenersWorld
I'm starting to think I should just turn the main part of my garden into an 'allotment'.
#GardenersWorld
I don't know about this lady's #allotment plot being chaotic - it looks lovely. I've seen plot that are far, far more chaotic than hers! #GardenersWorld
Just looking up Malabar spinach...seems it's tender here but can be grown as an annual #gardenersworld
A "brassica massacre" is a great term for what the tweeters do to some our #allotment crops! #GardenersWorld
There’s Chloe from Insta #gardenersworld
Just the fruit n veg you enjoy! Yep - tatties n chard, rainbow chard

I do have a t-shirt that my co-workers bought me for Xmas a few years ago that says, "Shit Wizard" across the front. Partly due to my reputation for "magicking up" manure when people needed it. 🤣 #GardenersWorld
Good to see Joe Swift. We don't see nearly enough of him these days #GardenersWorld
Pah, shifting barrow load of wood chip is easy - that stuff is light and fluffy. Now shifting barrow loads of wet manure on the other hand.... 🥵 #GardenersWorld
With you there, Joe - you never stop learning with gardening....
"It's a bug" all right!
Bravo De Graft Mensah too, teaching kids re food! 🥝🍓🍐🫒🥬🫛
I know someone who is pretty smart but city born and bred who was shocked when she came to our #allotment and discovered that carrots and potatoes came straight out of the ground "where the worms are". So those kids surprised you can grow your own veg aren't alone. #GardenersWorld
#gardenersworld A few from this week.
I really miss the Geoff Hamilton style of programme. More instructions. #gardenersworld. Less chat.
