Bay Bolete, Imleria badia.

In beech and pine woods near Swaffham, Norfolk, yesterday.

Several caps without a stipe but one lovely little specimen too, like a Penny Bun (Boletus edulis) but with a darker cap and pores that bruised blue.

A scenic dirt path winding through a dense, lush autumn forest. The ground is covered with fallen red and brown leaves and scattered rocks. Sunlight filters through the tall evergreen fir trees and deciduous trees with leaves turning vibrant shades of yellow and orange. A bright green fern grows on the right embankment next to the path.A close-up shot of a large cluster of vibrant red fly agaric mushrooms (Amanita muscaria) growing on a mossy patch of forest floor. The mushrooms have distinct orange-red caps covered with small white spots, and bright white stems and gills. The ground around them is littered with brown autumn leaves, pine needles, twigs, and small green moss patches under the shadow of a tree trunk.

Spores.
I have very limited knowledge of fungi, I can recognize this as a parasol but that's as far as I dare go!

Seems like the mushrooms are stalling their arrival until we get a bit more rain but I was lucky to spot these ones in the forest today ๐Ÿ„โ€๐ŸŸซ #fungi #fungifriends #mushroom #autumn
