2) Westwood #library closed in 2013
3) Calderwood library closed in 2015.

Calderwood & Westwood areas of EK are bigger than most towns in #Scotland that have libraries

EK District Council existed from 1975-1996
It was normal for EK to have local democracy, its own Corporation & Council
EK has declined since it became absorbed into South Lanarkshire Council in 1996 & Scots Devolution in 1999.

The #Scotland I grew up in & know was very normal & #British.
There was no divisive Scottish Nationalists in power in 1960s, 70s, 80s, 90s. The division in 🇬🇧 began in 2007 when #SNP ruled Devolution & have ruled for last 20 years. #EastKilbride was very normal 1947-1996 with EK District Council.
