Minfeld, Long Run

Unplanned long run. I went out for a 10k easy after yesterday’s threshold run but I felt fit and weather was fine that I decided for a long run. Had some nice trails.

1/3 of the trails were new to me. 150m elevation gain.

Happy VRC day #RunningPunks. Out for an IRL run club with the Dengie 100 Runners for a misty Sunday Social. Really good to be running with a couple of guys at a similar pace, spurring each other on. Very nearly hit a sub-50 on the anticlockwise loop. Beautiful Garbage for tunes there and back🤘

There was a #heron (possibly two) and I have my face back, though.

Morning. The trail was misty & beautiful.. 45-60F, sunny. Saw flying geese, chomping 🐿️squirrel & cute inflatables. Run included 5 faster miles. Back was rough.. last 4 mi were a death march. 😫 Gonna skip run tomorrow & bike easy to see if that helps. Happy Saturday adventures. #runningpunks 🏃‍♀️☮️🩷

I enjoyed 4 x 9min @ 4:15min/km intervals with sunny warm weather.

So my long long run is a 15k and I like to do one at the start of each month for that little burst of accomplishment. Today was an especially good effort, with a surprising added spring from the rear foot. The local shop’s club run was out and I had to wade thru.

Morning #RunningPunks. After the two-week Carnival takeover, the park is ours again for BoC #ParkRun. 🎉 Managed to spot someone I know with a great consistent pace and did my best to keep up. Random shuffle on ParkRun playlist making excellent choices today 🤘
