So, Ataru gets a fortune and Lum gets another one, both say HALF the same thing: A rival will go after Ataru...but the rest of Ataru's fortune says she ain't lovin' nothing....so bail while you can. #UruseiYatsura

Well, Cherry just has to push that one button of Ataru, women, and says Sakura is working at the arcade. Not only does Ataru go that one step and touch Sakura's robe, but she mentions that some familiar faces are now temple maidens, Shinobu and Ran. #UruseiYatsura

Also wanna point out this is the last episode to air in 1985. As this aired on Christmas day of that year!

To point out to @furinkan.com that lists this as an anime original episode the basis seems to be from Volume 7, Chapter 62 "Fortune Fear"!

Pretty much, the Fortunes read like this: Ataru's not right for Lum, he'll bring bad luck. Ataru was born with bad Luck, Lum won't leave anytime soon. One would think this would cancel each other out.

Reminder: This is CHERRY'S shrine. #UruseiYatsura

They go and get their fortune and it's good luck for Lum and bad luck for Ataru.

So...Monday. #UruseiYatsura

Well, naturally, Lum wishes for Ataru, and Ataru...wishes for a ton of women and to be free of Lum.

...

Sometimes...as much as I love the author's work, I side with the madman that made the second movie. #UruseiYatsura

Cherry tries to tell Ataru Lum cares for her and he'll keep getting his ass kicked by a woman he's trying to get.

*WHACK*WHACK*WHACK*WHACK*

Words of wisdom. Thus, the two go to his shrine to make an offering. #UruseiYatsura

So, Ataru's plan, get the girl wasted so he and put the moves on her.

No, why do people think the staff was fed up with this anime by this point?

Well, don't worry...she's a mean ass drunk. #UruseiYatsura

The whole thing was a bad dream... (Sees Ataru hit on women) ...that has some connections to reality... and a girl is stupid enough to go NEAR Ataru due to him looking cold... #UruseiYatsura

Well, looks like what was done is for artistic reasons to show that Lum is exactly in our world anymore...or on ANY plane of existence as stuff goes right through her in this world where Ataru is engaged to another woman. Also, follow up, I REALLY need some Rumiko Takahashi horror. #UruseiYatsura

We open on... (Sees the "Animation" of Lum is a still painting with her hair moving) ...oooooohhhhhhhh dear... #UruseiYatsura

Up next, let's rumble! "Darling's Horrible Luck! Alternate Universe Omikuji Horror!" #UruseiYatsura

Always,
You are watching me, I am watching you.
How'd you like to have a pounding heart?
Gentlemen, I'm Sorry.
It's too bad you're overstimulated.

Here we are the final season of classic #UruseiYatsura but it's not the end of Ataru and Lum's adventures!
@digiranma.bsky.social

Around an hour from now, we got us a rumble! #UruseiYatsura

Tomorrow,

"Darling's Horrible Luck! Alternate Universe Omikuji Horror!" #UruseiYatsura

A very very VERY simple blinking test. It's rough as shit but I can't stand to look at it anymore 😭
