Caufield with his 2nd and this one's over.

3-2 OT win for the Habs. #Sens have nothing to be ashamed on that one but they will need to clean up a bit of those penalties. Erssen with 30/33 stops, which is all you can really ask for a backup.

Not bad for a team with half its members missing.

Ersson played a great game for the #Sens otherwise #Habs win big time! #GHG

My standouts from the first #Sens preseason game.

- Eklund-Cozens-Zetterlund were super dynamic, exciting trio

- Ersson looks to be the real deal

- I liked Burakovsky's skilled presence

- Halliday continues to look NHL calibre

- Kleven and Yak looked rusty

Regular time doesn't solve anything. The game goes to OT and 3 on 3.

Travis Green is all of us. #Sens

Probably not the best idea there Hodgson to grab the stick while you're on the bench late in a game with it being tied.

But we're in pre-seasons shenanigans...

#Sens

Power Play goal by Cole Caufield and the game's once again tied. 2-2.

#Sens

Cozens with a nice shot up close in the old captain's office and snipes one bardown.

2-1 for the good guys. #Sens

Mmm. Mechant giveaway. That cost Ottawa. Sadly just got hemmed in their zone and the Habs capitalize.

Tied game. 1-1. #Sens

And 1:29 into the 1st, Eklund scores.

1-0 Ottawa. #Sens

Eklund on the board 👍 🏒 #Sens

It's pre-season hockey, but damn did I miss this sport.

New year, "some" changes, but the #Sens go in with some hope after making the playoffs in two consecutive years.

Let's see how this team works out. Not the full roster but I'll be curious to see Eklund and Burakofsky.

Haven’t seen a single #Sens jersey in the crowd! #GHG 💁‍♂️🤣

It'll be a family affair in Trois-Rivières for tonight's Kraft Hockeyville game: both Xhekaj brothers are on the trip + #Habs Zach Bolduc will play opposite his brother, Samuel who will be on the #Sens blueline

Both Xhekaj brothers will be dressed tonight for the #Habs against the #Sens.

Maybe it's to prevent something like this...

Why am I hoping the #Habs dress the Xhekaj brothers for tonight's game vs the #Sens?

Nah... I know why. 😉

Preparing for my journey home from South Florida after chasing a few stories for @theathletic.com these last few days.

I’ve been asked to do a lot more national features and enterprise work lately, which I’m pretty excited about. Still following the #Sens, but happy to do more!
