Lots of geese about for #FirstBirdOfMyDay but the Jackdaws were up & at it
First bird of my day: a low-flying magpie heading for the apple tree. #firstbirdofmyday
Crimson rosellas, lots of them flying around the garden then over the road to the tall gums. Two red wattlebirds much closer to the house enjoying the abundance of blossom. #firstbirdofmyday #whatsyours
#firstbirdofmyday a robin on a misty morning
Starlings, lots of them on the telephone wires and wood pole at the bottom of our street. I know the collective noun for a flying group is a murmuration but I think a group like this called a chattering? It's quite apt when you hear the squeaks, whistles and other sounds.

A robin chacking away as I waited for the York train from the local station. Last of the dawn rosy glow over the Coop and the terraces #FirstBirdofMyDay
First bird of my day. It is raining here so the birds are staying sheltering in the trees but I can hear crows somewhere in the distance and a robin nearby. #FirstBirdOfMyDay
First bird of my day, a Robin, scalding me from a bush in the pre-dawn gloom. Didn't see him until he flew across the road to another vantage point from which to continue his rebuke to my presence.
First birds of my day: a skien of no fewer than seventeen Barnacle Goose honking their way South. A first ever sighting for me.
First bird of my day: a Red kite calling from the valley below on a calm, quiet morning. #Firstbirdofmyday
A thrilling trilling Robin #firstbirdofmyday
First bird of my day: the jackdaws jacking over the village in plumes of chatting black. #firstbirdofmyday #whatsyours
#FirstBirdOfMyDay: Silent American crow flying high over the rain-revived neighborhood.
#firstbirdofmyday a “maelstrom” of jackdaws on my 97 yr old mums feeding station a tad scary, lone wood pigeon bravely and gratefully hoovering up the debris. I don’t know if it’s the weather or something but that was a feeding frenzy.
#firstbirdofmyday here in Orono Maine: black-capped chickadee at the feeder. Jim👋😊
An early start & a trip out of county up the A30. As a glorious golden dawn broke over Bodmin Moor #FirstBirdOfMyDay: were Corvids setting off from their roost
First bird of my day: a jackdaw calling from the mist on a chilly, quiet morning. #Firstbirdofmyday
