How to keep squirrels from eating your pumpkins?
1. Use a hot pepper spray. Some squirrels seem to like spicy food, so this does not work on them.
2. Use a barrier, such as a row cover or sheet. Cover each night, weigh the ends down, so it doesn’t blow away.

My senior goat Fanta barely has hair, but she definitely still has fight in her. Grooming and hoof trimming turned into a full workout today, and I could not be happier to see her feisty spirit.

A touch of frost this morning, here in Manitoba... #FarmLife

Last light on the prairie. The clouds burned orange from underneath while the sun squeezed through a gap between the bins and sent rays across the stubble.

And the weather of the day is…? It’s the time of year when we get cloudy, rainy, sunny, chilly, hot, and the weather goes up and down. That’s OK, we keep on growing.

Thank you for supporting small businesses; your choices matter.

It's been raining so it's real easy to pull weeds tonight. #farmlife

Mud season is here and plans had to change. Here is why we had to skip our goat show this year and what it means for our herd.
