Purple sprouting Broccoli π± making great growth and it's not Autumn until tomorrow. #allotment #GYO
Something has been eating the beans from out of the pods at the #allotment #garden
Any guesses? Maybe a bird or a mouse?
Seem to be from the middle or top of the lattice.
Windy today (the weather, not Royston). Attempted photos of Raspberries π± were mostly blurred action shots π±

A suspected virus in the soil has been knocking out our cucumber π± plants these last few years.
Difficult to eradicate, when organic.
New method of growing and they've done well this year, but they're coming to an end now #allotment #GYO
A North Yorkshire #allotment Aubergine π±.
Donkey springs to mind.... π I'll get my coat.
There was this feature on the Gardener's World #allotment special where a young person spent lots of time with an older person helping on their allotment and they both learned so much from each other. It was a beautiful relationship. The yp ended up studying horticulture. That's learning to me. π±
Cover crops are on the rise on the #allotment

Chutney paradise here we come.

#allotment harvest. Saturday 19th September.
A lovely warm day but windy (the weather!)
What have we here then? A few Tomatoes, quite a few Raspberries π±, windfalls (&some picked), beets, radish, onions, various green things and Basil #GYO #SelfSufficientUs #UKGardeningLife
Haven't been up to t'allotment in a week due to weather and back and sciatica. One of the teasles seed head has germinated on the plant! Has anybody seen this before?!
Very enjoyable #allotment special. I'd love to know the veg washing station on the side of a shed set up. Looked very handy! Lots of ideas to play with for next year. Bring it on!

Some to learn all the time is indeed part of the joy of being an #allotment plot holder. But also any kind of gardeners, or even indoor house plant grower. And with changing conditions, new pests and new plant varieties constantly appearing, there's always more to learn! #GardenersWorld
I don't know about this lady's #allotment plot being chaotic - it looks lovely. I've seen plot that are far, far more chaotic than hers! #GardenersWorld
A "brassica massacre" is a great term for what the tweeters do to some our #allotment crops! #GardenersWorld
I know someone who is pretty smart but city born and bred who was shocked when she came to our #allotment and discovered that carrots and potatoes came straight out of the ground "where the worms are". So those kids surprised you can grow your own veg aren't alone. #GardenersWorld
I like this social and community focused #allotment site on #GardenersWorld. I do a bit of community growing so I can see the attraction.
I do still like to have a few hours of "bum in the air" by myself on my own plot though!
Allotments on Gardeners' World tonight π
