No client, bad faith actor, or other needs to feed your content to LLM's! They can just scrape the firehose anyway themselves!

Everything on the AT Protocol (except chats, saved and spaces) is fully public information.

"Wsocial feeds all postings into an LLM!" 😂 This claim fundamentally misunderstands how the AT Protocol works. Wsocial doesn't need to "feed" anything to an LLM because all public posts are already broadcasted to a completely open network.The Firehose is Public: The AT Protocol operates on an open, unauthenticated public "firehose" (a WebSocket stream). Every single public post, like, and follow is broadcasted to the entire internet in real time.Anyone Can Listen: Any AI company, researcher, or scraper can connect directly to a network Relay (like Bluesky's main relay) or use optimized streams like Jetstream to ingest 100% of public postings natively. They do not need a client like Wsocial to give it to them.Clients are Just Windows: A client app like Wsocial is merely a viewer (a "frontend") to display this data. When a user posts, they are publishing to their own Personal Data Server (PDS) and the public network, not to a private database owned by Wsocial.The "Opt-Out" is Protocol-Level: If a user wants to signal that they do not want their data used for AI training, that preference is flagged in their account settings at the protocol level. LLM scrapers look at these network-wide tags—a specific client app has no bearing on whether a third-party scraper honors or ignores those tags.Summary: Accusing a specific client of feeding an LLM is like accusing a specific web browser of "feeding" a website to Google Search. The data is already openly on the web for anyone to grab.

Don't expect the same when you join. With WID & Wsocial enrolment, the client does not get your Name and Address from verification process, unless you specifically choose to provide that information. 'Founding Member' is key here, was manually verified for the signup process. 😇

Wonder how lively activity is on #WSocial compared to #Eurosky?

Thanks to @pds.ls you can plug into the live firehose for the two networks.

After 32 minutes of observation this morning, @wsocial.eu had 330 events whereas @eurosky.social had 16 THOUSAND.

To the people wondering why so few users post on #WSocial: there could be a simple explanation.

1) In order to post you need to verify your account with your government ID, using the app #WIdentity

2) W Identity has an average of 1.1 stars out of 5: play.google.com/store/apps/d...

Art 17 grants that right, but Art 12(6) obligates platforms to verify identity first to prevent unauthorized deletion. Under Art 12(3), they have up to 30 days to review, execute, and log it. A quick guide for New #wsocial accounts. #WsocialFacts

'Here' ~ Means on the 'AT Protocol' to other clients, refrain from referring to 'wsocial' as that!
Other clients accounts bsky, eurosky, etc will appear in your feed and or replies.
Verified W users can be found in 'W Users', 'W Org...' etc.
