#mechtober 6 - What I know about Mountain Wolf Battlemechs is their color, and a friend, Rusty Zimmerman has written about them. He did inspire me to get a Merlin, though I didn't paint it as MWB colors. The stories are a fun read

Not a fan of the Lone Wolves, so here is my fave #BattleTech merc unit, the Gray Death Legion! From reading the 1st GDL trilogy as a kid, painting custom GDL Mechs, to naming my son Grayson.

The new storyline in the ilClan era has me excited to see where the go next #Mechtober

I think most BattleTech fans from my generation probably came in through MechWarrior 2 and its sequels. My formative video game encounter was with the AOL-hosted MultiPlayer BattleTech: Solaris. Fun and real-time, but fast-paced it was not!

Of course with #Mechtober today being about the Lone Wolves, i had to include some of Jackie Darwin’s Whipits. Pulled straight from Hot Spots Hinterlands temporary hires!

#MechTober 5 - The Lone Wolves

As with many others, my experience with the Lone Wolves is mostly from Lone Wolf and Fox. There is one hot spot in Hinterlands where your unit can join them, but it seems like an expansion to cover working with the coop more would be fun.

Missed yesterday's post, but @MW5Mercs so graciously posted this trailer today for Ashes & Ascension.

THIS is my favorite iteration of the SLDF. Victor leading them through Operation BULLDOG against the Clans. #Mechtober

So it’s fifth day of #mechtober and I don’t have any mechs in lone wolves colors to show off but since the fox patrol were members ….

@swankmotron.com put them in without question and Lone Wolf and Fox and I fell in love with Buggsy and those goof balls . I hope to see more soon !!

D6 GOT some idea might explore later but no time alot work

1) #Mechtober is here, and it is a complicated one for me. the Lone Wolves were not on my #Battletech radar until I found out some one made a Ace Darwin successor part of them, and then @swankmotron.com started writing them.

but they are a weird and wacky part of BTech, & I love them for it

10/5 - The Lone Wolves!

I haven't been great about reading a lot this year, but anthologies are always a nice smooth way to get back into it. And for today I can share my signed copy of the next anthology on my list, Lone Wolf and Fox! Loved the first Fox Patrol collection

It's #Mechtober day 5, which means we're talking about the Lone Wolves. They ultimately chose the right side in the Jihad, and paid for it. I hope the Wolfs Dragoons compensated them eventually.

#mechtober day 5: lone wolves
I have an unfinished story about them on Galtor. I loved writing it, loved writing them, and maybe will get back to it eventually. :)

#Mechtober Day 5
The Lone Wolves. I don't know much about them, but after reading their history, I like that they feel different than almost every other merc company. I might have to paint some up, and the Wile E Coyote-esque logo is *chefs kiss*

Day Five of #mechtober #battletech and enter the Lone Wolves. Appearing in the Galtor Campaign they are one of the earliest Merc units in the lore and one of the most "mercenary" from the top down to the bottom. Always in the background, never really notably appearing in fiction...

mechtober day 5
Lone Wolves

All I know of lone wolves is from fox patrol novels. would love to see more of them. Don't have lone wolves , but I started Jackie Darwins' whipits.

5/31 #mechtober - I've never heard of the lone wolves before reading the BRILLIANT stories by @swankmotron.com . Looking them up on Sarna, I realised 1) their logo looks like the infamous looney tunes coyote 2) they have quite some history to tell. #battletech @catalystgamelabs.bsky.social

for #mechtober day 4, there can only be one true descendant of the SLDF's legendary Royal Blackwatch. Clan Blood Spirit continued the legacy of their ancestors in seeking to uphold the camaraderie of the Star League's true children, and when that failed, died with the stubbornness of Hanni Schmitt.
