#LGBTQWriteAThon I am burnt out. There's been a lot of annoying problems regarding book fulfillment this week and a lot of the time I felt like I needed to be in two places at once.

But, I'm hitting deadlines.

Currently waiting to see if Zon screws me on books I need before the 23rd.

I got through this round of major structural revisions!

It felt amazing for approximately one second until I realized the amount of work I still have to do on smoothing things over, fleshing out scenes, and then making it actually good 😅

Skeletons in the closet.

Oh boy. Henry’s past is full of secrets, things he doesn’t understand, guilt, grief. A lot of it he doesn’t know he’s dealing with in City of Stars and Shadows, until the climax. In the sequel, it’s fun writing what he does with all these skeletons.

As expected, I had a very busy week. It was very productive ... Just sadly not in my writing 😅

I got a lot of work done for client edits though!

Setting my goal at the beginning of the week really helped me keep focus this week. I would love to have this in to my editor by Tuesday morning, so we'll see how this weekend goes.

Then I can more actively move on to the next projects. (New novel Handled, 2 shorts)

It was a pretty good week! I felt great about the editing I did on the eight finished chapters, and then I brought Ezra's dad into Chapter 9 and it's so fun writing him from Cole's POV. Hoping this story continues to take off! I'm so glad I've found a groove.

I wrote 591 words in a scene for one of my WIPs (book 5 romance) AND I'm gonna take that win and twirl it above my head cause this week has sucked...

#LGBTQWriteAThon I finished a chapter of Bloody Terrible for the first time since August, and it feels great! I also made forward progress on a cookbook and a tabletop pre-build

I made ZERO progress on DeadmanWIP, as it was a very busy week for me.
HOWEVER! I did come up with, plan, design, and nearly finalize preparation for a new (very niche) writing game.
It will be in November and I’ll announce probably next week.

This past week I surprised myself by finishing 1661 ch4! (Although I've immediately started waffling on whether I want to rewrite the last scene.)

Counting by chapters, I'm already 1/3 through!? But the wordcount seems low, so maybe I've miscalculated how many chapters it'll be.

Didn't do a lot of editing this week, but i ordered my next illustration and right now i'm packing to spend the next few days editing in a hotel with my dog.

No writing this week, but I edited my short story for a writing jam I wrote this summer and sent it off to my beta. I had a job interview (finding out next week if I made it through to the next round), and I had to deal with my neurodivergent kid's school change too.

I think it was pretty good. I got my 10k on 40-something trans dude phantom thief WIP, and did a lot of planning for my NovNov/First Draft Fall project.

My personal and school life is crumbling a bit, but otherwise, it's all good! 🥲

There's still hope I'll finish The Reformatory today, but I barely wrote this week! Tho, a short story of mine was published, another short story was been plotted & outlined, & I even got a functioning timeline up for CMI!
