@juliesondra.bsky.socialGood evening, #LateNightWrite! I sold my first book in 2014 but it was nonfiction. SF/Fantasy is where my soul lives. I'm querying a f/f YA SF and submitting heaps of short stories (sometimes successfully!), and my WIP is an adventure fantasy (series potential?) with some complicated queer rep.
@applesncinnamon.bsky.socialThe biggest one publishing anything in the first place! It’s always nerve wracking!!
But the other big one was letting anyone read my erotic writing/sharing it with the world. It feels really personal, but I’m glad I did it in the end.
@elizmanderson.comso like tl;dr yes, multiple fears, but it's an ongoing process
@elizmanderson.comI have to repeatedly get over the fear that I'm making a book worse by revising it, I always have a gut reaction of fear when I see someone's got a book similar to one of mine before I remind myself that That Is Good, Actually, there are lots of fears in this industry lol
@voswalen.bsky.socialHi #LateNightWrite I'm Vos!
My #WIP is on a Litrpg which starts with a smartass cynic who (unwillingly) joins up with a chaotic cheerful character and others they collect while on a mission to experience the freedom of being an adventurer.
@akiwitch.bsky.socialHey #LateNightWrite! I'm Aki or A. Lawrence. I wrote Ghost Punch and Last Light.
Currently I'm working on a dungeon crawler with litrpg elements and I'm having the best time.
@lianabrooks.bsky.socialThe book has nods to #PursuitOfJade and #ManOnFire do the answer to "What will they do to survive?" is....
... anything. Absolutely anything.
@lianabrooks.bsky.socialHi!
I'm currently working on a SciFi novel that focuses on a tiny, broken family living off rations in a warzone and what they are willing to do to survive.
@applesncinnamon.bsky.socialHello! I’m Alex Larkspur and I write queer fantasy!
I’m currently working on feedback from my editor for a dragon novella called Guardian of the Sky!
@elizmanderson.comhellooooooooo I'm E (they/she) and I'm sort of noodling at multiple unfinished short stories while I wait for #FirstDraftFall to start
