A monochrome shot of a collection of tiny, striped limpets gathered on rough, wave-hewn, dark gray basaltic rock, along with a few scattered barnacles. Not sure what kind of limpets they are, as I still need to run this through iNaturalist. They may not all be the same kind, either, but they look like it. The limpets are like irregular pyramids with their tips all on one side or the other with ridges going from the base to the top, and stripes doing the same thing, going from the base of the shell to the top of each shell.

A stick with a tiny twig poking out to the left has a collection of different types of leafy and tubular sea green lichens on it. One of the more tube-like lichens has a branchy branch growing straight up. Near the base of that, the lichen’s reproductive structures have brown, cup-like growths that look like a little alien with one wide open and one more closed eye and a mouth making a tiny “ooo” shape below and to the right of its eyes. This is all happening in about 2 centimeters of space.
