Most Kektrish people today do not believe the Shieldmaiden actually exists; they tend to think she is just a symbol their ancestors created to describe how Sobek is multiversal and accessible to intelligent beings throughout Creation, not just to the Kektrish themselves.

The revelation that such "alterterrestrial" creatures as the Shieldmaiden actually exist—and that their modern counterparts are the aliens now invading Geb/Earth—will alarm Grawuul's people so much, they will DEMAND that WIT equip their Cymetrodons with Ghost Ray cannons, which is something WIT can never allow to happen.

Thyssa is now serving a brief prison sentence for her violation of the law; but she is about to receive a visit from Grawuul and Kroakoan that will change everything.
