They’re just one part of a much bigger and more complicated system.

People whose position comes substantially from family money, property, investments, businesses or land rather than their own wages.

That’s a very different starting point from someone who earns £100k but owns nothing outright.

People whose position comes from managing companies, departments, institutions and other workers.

Their relationship with work can be completely different from both traditional workers and professionals.
