I genuinely cannot comprehend a world without technology. Was it really that good, is technology really that bad? The way that I see it technology has improved every aspect of my life. This line in the book might be right but it fails to understand that participation and saying something on TV can be different than what one might do in real time

This line poses a question which I feel is wrong. The circuit might take my job but it might also make it easier, which might help me further. We should think about more possibilities rather than being sure of an outcome.

Okay McLuhan, you might be a prophet. I mean he basically predicted phones and social media. Technology that allows you to be connected to the world at your finger prints. "You can't go home again".
