I wrote a novel about a lesbian atheist philosopher, living in poverty who builds an anti-capitalist ethical theory from scratch, proposing a just society. Fictionalized memoir. Free demo links below. 📚💙

It is good to make a physical fire, I don’t dispute that. But I thought we were better than casting such reproachful replies. How can you care about someone and at the same time splash that person with harsh flaks? Even if you are right and that person made a mistake, do you think whipping criticism helps? I don’t know about others, but this only makes me feel angrier and more guilty than necessary. You could have told me the same idea in a more humane, more gracious sentence, Cornelia. You don’t even have to do it for my sake, if that takes too much effort on your part. Do it for yourself, so that later, when you review the events’ movie inside your mind, you have fewer things to reproach yourself, you can be truly proud of how you handled the crisis... Hey, Cornelia, who will light a fire to warm my inner being? You know, Cornelia, I probably will never touch a girl again and the real me will slowly wither and die because of that, because of religious, as well as other callous dogmas that you like to be followed, religious restrictions that put a roof over my visible physical body, since, beyond sterile spiritual meows, in essence, proven daily not through the words, but through everyone’s deeds, this visible physical body is all that the world cares about... They don’t care who I really am and how I really feel, as long as the bells toll and the rituals whine claiming to save our souls, our eternally damned souls, while visible fires burn, while all that matters are the visible fires that burn... Who will light my final fire, Cornelia?...

Liberation is not giving "the workers" control over disabled people.

#meme #anarchism #anarchyMeme #anarchism #antiCapitalism #liberation #worker #workVoucher

This is a four panel meme of a person drowning. The first panel is of a hand sticking out of the water with text over it saying “disabled people who can’t produce enough to equal their needs”. The next panel is the same hand with a hand reaching out in the corner. There is text over that one saying “half of leftists”. The third panel has the hands high fiving with the text “work vouchers”. The last one has the first hand sinking under the water saying “”why aren’t they grateful? Unlike capitalists we let them work””.

For people sensitive to texture and taste, "just eating fruit" is never that easy. This is one reason why attacking things for being "highly processed" is ableist. Some people need those things.

A Twitter/X post by Large-bodied jewish wife (@adinarising) and a reply by TrapMaster (@Bobolu488). The first post (@adinarising) reads: holy shit i just saw this on facebook and now my entire life makes sense Image in the post: the logo of feedinglittles, then a title and some images. "Why does my child struggle with fruits and veggies?" Two rows of four columns of images, each featuring a hand holding small foods, with the thumb having an orange nail. Top row: large blueberry, "juicy"; small blueberry, "squishy"; medium-sized blueberry, "sweet"; small blueberry, "sour" Bottom row: the same image, with the hand holding a small cracker. "The"; "same"; "every", "time." The reply (@Bobolu488) reads: "Crunch is a must, slime I must decline."

Green on beige linocut in the style of antique victorian adverts. In a big panel, a iguana is resting on a branch. Beneath the scene a caption reads "Le droit à la paresse" (the right to be lazy). The scene is place in a big setting with flower and a banner (mimicking unrolled paper) that indicates "Going to work? Nah. Iguana rest all day"

Sure, we can toss around the "no ethical consumption under capitalism" phrase. But it's farcical to deny that there are more and less ethical choices, and subsequently, progressives should veer toward more ethical choices when possible, while pushing for structural change.

🗃️ ARCHIVE: “John-Cro & Magnon” (2025)
Two years ago, “The Meteor System” premiered: a prehistoric series with no qualms about nudity and a clear anti-capitalist stance…

6-panel comic. PANEL 1. The Meteor System PANEL 2. Once upon a time... there were Cro-Magnons. Two characters, a man and a woman, are walking. Only their silhouettes are visible. The woman: “Hey, John-Cro...” The man: “Yes, Magnon?” PANEL 3. The two characters are naked. Magnon asks: “Doesn't it bother you that everyone can see you naked?” PANEL 4. John-Cro looks at his naked body and replies: “No. How about you?” Magnon: “No, not really.” PANEL 5. The two start walking again, Magnon staring intently at John-Cro. PANEL 6. Magnon corrects herself: “Actually, it does bothers me. Would you mind putting on some briefs?” John-Cro is surprised. She adds: “It's really embarrassing.” Note: Comic strip licensed under CC BY SA (grisebouille.net), drawn on August 30, 2024 by Gee.

"People wouldn't create anything without a profit motive" Literally the entire internet was compiled almost virtually for free by nerds and randos. It didn't start to suck until corporations turned it into a dystopian hellscape of ads and misinformation.

Elephant in the room no leaders seem to want to say: capitalism didn't work. Shipping tons of junk people don't need around the globe so it can just become waste, didn't work. Setting us all against each other as competitors, didn't work. Privatising basic necessities didn't work.
