@crjbava.bsky.social[REC] 3: GENESIS (2012)
DAY 7 #31DayHorrorChallenge
There is a deliberately lighter tone for Genesis compared to the previous films. The film does suffer for focusing more on being a horror romp rather than an intense experience. Even with the all of the flaws, this does have some fun aspects.

Halfway through as I post to beat midnight.

@lila10420.bsky.socialToday's prompt: Not-so-imaginary friend
#6 Imaginary (2024) This has been on my list for a while so I'm glad to be getting around to it. Betty Buckley's in it so that's a bonus at least, lol

@gimmemoore37.bsky.socialDay 6 - Not-So-Imaginary Friend - Donnie Darko (2001)
As if I need an excuse to watch one of my favorite films of all time!
@meadowofashxo.bsky.socialPlaying catch-up!
Day 5: Feline Fright AND
Day 6: Not-so-imaginary friend
I would argue Pet Sematary covers both themes! Not only do we have an undead demon cat, but Pascow could interpreted as a not-so-imaginary friend.
@shannysland.bsky.socialDay 6: Not So Imaginary Friend
MAGIC (1978)-A failed magician, adopts a new ventriloquist act with an abrasive dummy
Tense & incredibly creepy due in large part to the unsettling performance of Sir Anthony Hopkins
@craigoxbrow.bsky.socialFeline Fright
Okay, doing this prompt straight up.
5.
Beast (2022)
The one where Idris Elba fights a lion.
A well made take with one major problem - the lion looks fake.
@craigoxbrow.bsky.socialThe fourth prompt is "A-lister's early horror role" and yes I'm going to slightly cheat again, going for a writer and director who is still in the fold.
4.
The Tell-Tale Heart (2008)
A short by Robert Eggers. You can tell.

Day 6 #31DayHorrorChallenge
A good day to watch a DVD that has sat unwatched in my collection for too long. Admittedly not an overt horror film, Donnie Darko has many creepy aspects in the story. A terrific cast (Patrick Swayze in this!) that features so many future stars.
