One or two species that I'm seeing for the first time this year at the moment, after they failed to flower during the drought. Black Nightshade is one of those. This one in a crack in paving in Bristol on Thursday. #WildflowerHour

A rather grey walk was brightened up by this glorious Chicory flower. I love blue flowers so had to stop for a closer look.

The reproductive structures inside the flower are incredible - long blue & white striped tubes with branched tips curling out the top of each. Stunning. 💙
