"A crack in our view"

Through our igloo's top we follow upward along a black locust tree. Beautiful blues, pinks, and violets paint our sky. But a mended split in our roof slashes the tree with buttery yellows.

Our September excursion took place yesterday: organized by our Association of Local History, the excursion was entitled “On the Trail of the Bernkastel Winegrowers’ Uprising (Winzersturm)” that took place in 1926. Angry winegrowers in the Middle Moselle region stormed the tax office in Bernkastel on February 25. Dr. Christof Krieger guided the group through the original sites.

We got it out fairly quickly even with the unkept grass and weeds (not that I judge)
