Lots of films this week. My opinions are in the ALT Text. #LastFourWatched #LetterboxdFriday

Kill Bill (2003)/Kill Bill (2004): Quentin Tarantino's incredibly fun tribute to kung-fu, spaghetti westerns, chambara, blaxploitation, and exploitation films (though that's all of Tarantino's work). I was worried I was too old for what joyless fiends would say is just a puerile gumbo of things that Tarantino loves and I was happy I still enjoyed it. The last 40 minutes of Vol. 2 do on a bit too long and I think was were I started to see Tarantino's self-indulgence peek through. Still one of my favorites of Tarantino, even after 20 years.

Weapons (2025): Another film to file under "This scares/makes me people laugh, but it doesn't work for me". It was a well-made film and I was interested to see the resolution of the film's central mystery. Unfortunately, the thinly drawn characters didn't work for me and the central mystery became very obvious by the last 40 minutes of the film.

Stand By Me (1986): I though I was going to love this more, but I can't argue how well-acted/how much an emotional gutpunch this story was.

Clue (1985): RIP Tim Curry. You were always entertaining, even in the worst films/TV. Clue has an amazing cast of comedic actors bouncing off another and such a witty farcical script. Still one of my favorites.

MST3K: The Sting of Death (2026): Feels like a very good episode straight from the Sci-Fi Era. Happy to see new MST3K.
