SUPER unexpected!!! so much that my brain needed a few days to even digest what happened π my dog park visits are usually always chill π
thank you poppy π you are definitely correct about the insecurity part π i've been going to that dog park regularly for years and havent seen that happen before so hopefully it was a one time occurrence π€π½
it was all just really dumb
again, no dogs were harmed. but the owner of the too-playfully-rough dog initiated a physical altercation with stick guy (and I get it, I too would wanna throw hands if I saw someone inappropriately and *violently* reacting to my dog) and it was only escalating from there (the dogs were fine atp)
thank you π i think i just need time for it to pass, there doesnt seem to be a remedy other than to wait it out!
just idk man if someone's dog is playing too roughly with your dog, and your dog clearly doesnt like it, attacking the stranger's dog with a piece of hard plastic stick to get the dog to stop is just not it.
but i guess all i'll say is that... it is jarring to see someone attempt physical harm on a stranger's dog. even if it was in defense from unwanted dog behavior. oh, and those fetch sticks with the tennis ball scoops at the end? I get why they're great, but I think I hate them even more now.
i dont know if i wanna explained exactly what happened at the dog park, or how i ended up intervening in a conflict between two dudes, neither of 'em seeming to be well adjusted humans then.
preventing me from sleep. and it is kind of happening again ... even though I'm tired as hell and can barely stand without feeling that tiredness.
my imagination plays out very vividly in my head, like im in an environment where i can see, feel, and hear shit in surround sound. so wild scenarios where I get hurt, or worse my dog gets hurt, start to play out like a horror show that doesn't turn off unless I distract myself somehow.
i think im still really unsettled over this. my mind keeps replaying the event in different hypotheticals where things could have gone deeply wrong. in ways that wouldnt have happened or made sense. I kind of loss sleep last night over trying to stifle these imagined scenarios that arenβt real.
i think im gonna have to go ahead and support this one on account of my first d&d character (beloved glamor bard aarakocra boy) sharing the same name
I'M TRYINNGG πͺππ₯
(no dogs were hurt or harmed thankfully)
understandable that dogs sometimes break out into a little skirmishes at the dog park once in a while (it happens and it usually turns out ok!) but i have never seen humans go at it before and it was just all around really freakin strange πππ
i deescalated a human fight at the dog park today it was really weird
i have mustered the strength! the battle is won but the war rages on π€ (my spouse ate the last three bites for me)
LMAOOOOOO I'M UP I'M READY I HAVE REGAINED MY STRENGTH
i am..not.. strong enough .....
there is too much cake
