Plastic Fantastic? explores the history of plastics throughout the 1900s and our changing relationship with them.

Artist Ruth Fones created 3D-printed mini replicas of some of the key objects. This tactile interpretation supports our blind and partially sighted visitors.

Today is an amazing day for astronomy! ☀🌠 The Rosse Observatory, Pontefract, opened in 1969. It is still ran today by the West Yorkshire Astronomical Society. According to Sir Patrick Moore (pictured here at the observatory), WYAS was the first amateur astrological society in the world.
