Thanks for the play.
Good evening.
Yeah he was one of the originals on Twitter back in the good old days of a blogging community. Met him at Southern Fried once. His writing & knowledge was unrivalled. He once set up a messsage board/forum for me, RM, HQ etc. sad news.
Love on the Road from Sally Jaye’s new album would be a great inclusion IMO, it’s an Aaron Lee Tasjan write. Also any off Miranda Lambert’s new one though Two Things Can Be True is a 1st play winner. Cheers.
Had a great weekend at The Long Road Festival. This event has brought so many top American artists in the past with 2026 no exception. As usual a review has been published highlighting the acts that made it a brilliant weekend for me.
Saw her on the famous 2014 tour. The musicianship was great as well. The Long Road did their tribute well & Emmylou ended with a Trio song. Will be sadly missed.
Like this record. Too often he passed me by. Good set at Maverick as well.
Time wise it’s not too bad on M42/M40 just racks up the miles.
Would love to see a bigger BRC show. Only ever seen Ross solo or duo. Maybe a trio once. The full Caledonian soul would be brilliant.
Nice venue. Been a few times. Would go more but it’s 40 miles away & many acts play the Kitchen Garden. They probably have more on than the Kitchen these days.
Next year should be hopefully calmer. Chaos on the Loose stage which was evacuated due to safety issues with the ground. Some of their acts popped up elsewhere but still loads of brilliant music alongside the crappy country. You just ignore that. Review up tomorrow.
Didn’t make the setlist. Neither did a Dolly cover. Just pure singer songwriter stuff battling it out with Josh Ross on the main stage. I think she won. 😁
Just finished it. Inserting some photos. Probably post tomorrow. 👍
Evening. Just coming down & drying out from a wonderful weekend at Long Road.
