R.I.P. An inspiring and challenging man who believed Dublin was worth fighting for when few others did. I hope we will hold on to that belief and his campaigning spirit will continue.

Commuter groups have described increases in public transport fares as "absolutely unacceptable", accusing the Government of asking bus, rail and tram users to "in effect" cover the "astounding cost" of an extension in cuts to Excise Duty on petrol and diesel

Public transport fare hikes - while fossil fuel subsidies remain.

Government seem determined to steer us towards car-dependence, if you'll pardon the pun.

Cost of living, air pollution, emissions - this is an attack on public health and well-being.

- Congestion is much more expensive than investment in PT🚦 - PT is a public service that benefits those worst off the most. 🫶 - Also.. footnote...: the world is burning and subsidising fossil fuels while increasing costs for PT shows utter contempt for both people and planet🔥😡

There are 100s of reasons why this is a bad idea. Here are just some of them:
- Reduced PT fares shown clearly to help protect against cost-of-living crisis💶
- Everybody loves the €2 fare💚
- It's made switching between buses much more attractive🚍

The Liffey is an icon of Dublin, but it’s also a dividing line. It divides the north from the south. There’s politicians in this election who want to further that division. But I don’t think that’s what we are about. When you’re on the Liffey you can see clearly that we are one city and one river.

The last thing the North Inner City needs is more casinos preying on our communities. A casino that is already in breach of their planning conditions should definitely not be allowed to expand further into a residential area.
