Thanks so much for the shout-out, Jay!
To everyone who contributed to E-Day: well done. I can’t wait for the world to see all of the care, craft, and talent you put into this project.
The creativity, attention to detail, the problem solving, and that drive to push our work to be just that much better, the characters just that bit more in this world, all show up in game.
And on-stick, I was so fortunate to work with some of the best narrative designers in the biz at TC and People Can Fly, as well as my fellows writers.
On the cinematics front, it was amazing to see scripts I wrote brought to life by such a talented group of performers, directors, storyboard artists, layout artists, animators, lighters and audio designers.
My work soon grew to involve writing for campaign missions, collectibles, ADing for recording sessions, and even the junior-est of junior narrative design. I’m so proud of what the story team put together.
With Early Access and the credits are out in the world, I’m excited to finally announce what I’ve been writing on for the past three-and-bit years: Gears of War: E-Day. I was fortunate enough to be brought onboard first as the cinematics writer.
I'm so sorry for your loss, Jay.
Oh oh! I've done another novel! This one sits firmly at the intersection of two of my deep personal interests (Warhammer and Chinese History).
