More to the point, genAI tools are terrible collaborators because as designed, they almost uniformly aren't meant to push back on ideas. Part of the creative process is when someone else tells you your idea ISN'T WORKING and you then need to pivot/compromise. Erase the process, erase the growth.

I have to remind myself that the universe is not testing me specifically but if there is any long-form lesson life has drilled into me it is that the process is the important part. And right when I feel that setting in, the process-erasure device arrives. I'm sticking to my guns for now.

I think gamedevs who want to seriously opine on whether a game is utilizing gambling mechanics should be required to read at least a little bit about actual gambling design first instead of just going "it has cards/dice and I don't like it, this is sufficient for a moral crusade"

There is at least a difference between "this game involves dice/cards and leveraging luck/RNG as a mechanic" and "this game features booster packs/loot boxes with randomized drops of varying rarities and flashy graphics to enhance the dopamine hit of pulls, all to entice you into spend money"
