Lastly I just want to say the most massive thank you. It's been almost a decade. You've changed my life, we've raised over $100k for charity & I'm so grateful for the place we built! Special thank you to the mods & best cow @moozipan.bsky.social , without them, none of this would have been possible.

If you wanted to share any words, clips, thoughts or silly business, there is a kudoboard which I'll be reading through during the last stream: kudoboard.com/boards/fYSeOmTn - any name you choose to use will be public, so if you did want to post, skip login and use a username if you prefer ❤️

The video above should answer most questions but the TLDR is that this is mostly about technolog/platform changes, partly about burnout & a desire to be off camera/prioritize life offline. An opportunity came my way that I want to grab with both hands Any video currently on YouTube will stay there!

Yep it's AI, I get them too and it's usually a combo of my IG bio and the recent game categories I've uploaded on YouTube. The same four buzzwords every time for me!

Endlessly relatable!!! ♥️

Just realised that not posting in weeks then doing a long vulnerable thread about something is somewhat of a theme lmao Whole ass, no half ass. Middle ground? Don't know her 😂

And every community focussed creator I talk to has the same fears. Human connection is so vital. In a world where it's so hard to find that geographically, how do we find it, and preserve it, in 2026?

@helloitskolo.comSep 9, 2026, 11:40 AM

I feel it myself. My content has always been community focussed, but I find myself feeling less able to be vulnerable, share and connect. I want to sing happy birthday to a viewer, wish them luck for their interview, and have vulnerable deep dives into narratives. Deep and meaningfuls.

@helloitskolo.comSep 9, 2026, 11:40 AM

Community online does still exist, and I ADORE those places. But when AI is always listening, how safe do we feel to be vulnerable & have real discussions? In a world where platforms incentivise rage bait and digital addiction over human interaction, are we losing digital community spaces?

@helloitskolo.comSep 9, 2026, 11:40 AM

What worries me now is the loss of connection. The loss of community, the loss of people being able to have meaningful multiway interactions, actual discussions with each other. Finding places to do that is increasingly hard. In a world full of isolation, will it still possible to find our people?

@helloitskolo.comSep 9, 2026, 11:40 AM

Fame and virality isn't always mutually exclusive with community focussed content, but the venn diagram overlap is almost impossible to consistently produce. I get it - mass content makes the platforms money, and they're built on it. This has been the case since long before 2018... BUT-

@helloitskolo.comSep 9, 2026, 11:40 AM

I've been streaming professionally since 2018. I never wanted to be famous, I just wanted to connect with people. It was possible then in a way it is not now. Platforms incentivise content in volume to reach the maximum number of eyeballs, aiming for fame and virality over human connection.

@helloitskolo.comSep 9, 2026, 11:40 AM

I fear that community focussed content is at risk of becoming extinct. It's harder and harder to produce or find content with the aim of connecting with other people. Actually, genuinely discussing, connecting, interacting.

We throw newbs in a pit. We tell them they must be competitive auteurs from day one, and that they’re disposable. Young professionals need space to learn. Apprenticeships and junior roles. They don’t know what they don’t know. We need entry level jobs. We’re moving in the opposite direction.
