Yesterday, the Government announced an expert review of brain cancer and action plan, after meeting campaigner Archie Goodburn.

Prof Richard Gilbertson and Dr Richard Mair joined Archie to push for faster progress.

The family of author Sophie Kinsella has unveiled a plaque at the CI in her honour. Madeleine Sophie Wickham, who wrote as Sophie Kinsella, was diagnosed with glioblastoma and sadly died in 2025. Through donations to The Brain Tumour Charity, the family is supporting the work of our Creixell Group.

Congrats to the Creixell Group for new research published in Molecular Cell. Led by first author Mingxuan Jiang, the paper introduces a computational & experimental platform that systematically captures protein interactions from combinatorial deep mutational scanning (CDMS) libraries.

Prof Jason Carroll and Dr Shalini Rao of our Carroll Group have received new funding from Pancreatic Cancer UK. This will empower the Carroll Group to investigate which proteins work with FOXA1 in pancreatic cancer metastasis.
