Lecanemab improves amyloid biomarkers but worsens neuronal/synaptic biomarkers. Should we question whether successful amyloid removal improves the biology that matters most? My take on the new study: lnkd.in/p/gfzXAHdj
What question did the study actually resolve? Does the "question answered" alter diagnosis, prognosis beyond conventional measures, patient stratification, therapeutic targeting, or our mechanistic understanding? This research is for research's sake. Frustrating.
