According to their study, under net zero, the global ocean is still a sink of carbon. It is the southern ocean that becomes a source.

No but there is a conflict when one uses global numbers to state that transition is not possible, while it is clearly happening in some regions.

Not sure I’ll find the time to listen to his talk but my point remains valid. Many countries have a net zero target and are already reducing fossil fuel use (ex EU). China is not far from peak fossil use. More countries will follow. Global fossil emissions will decline. Happy to bet on that. 😉
