#Transnistria is a small strip of land lbetween the Dniester River and the eastern Moldovan border with Ukraine. It declared independence in 1990, but the UN legally consider it a part of the Republic of Moldova. One of our explorers sourced some goodies to be the quiz prize at our next Off the Map.

The flag of the United Nations originates from 1947 and has a world map in the azimuthal equidistant projection. It is centred on the North Pole and lacks Antarctica.
