Hi there, yes, clean streets is a focus for SDC. The clean up didn't cost the taxpayer anything as this was a grant awarded to SDC from Keep Britain Tidy. Although we work with our partners, road safety is overseen by WCC. Thanks

🍬 Don’t drop it, bin it! Thanks to Chewing Gum Taskforce grant funding, new gum drop bins have been installed across the District following our successful chewing gum clean-up. Help keep our streets looking their best by putting your used gum in the bin. 🗑️

Please don't put recycling in plastic bags. At the MRF, recyclables are sorted into different waste streams, but items inside bags can't be separated properly, meaning valuable materials may miss the recycling process.

🚨 PARKING SCAM 🚨 QR codes have appeared on our parking signage today, directing people to a fraudulent website to take payment. Please note that we do not use QR codes on any of our parking signage for payments. We're removing them as quickly as we can.

The Government has announced a review of its Local Government Reorganisation programme, with Warwickshire among 14 areas where proposals have been paused for now.
Local elections scheduled for May 2027 will still go ahead on existing council boundaries.
