President, SEIU-United Healthcare Workers West. 120,000 members strong. Healthcare workers vs. billionaires — guess who I'm rooting for. Yes on Prop 40.

My members are respiratory therapists, nursing staff, the people who clean the rooms. When federal cuts hit a hospital, they go first and you wait longer. Prop 40: 250 billionaires pay what they owe for hospitals, schools and food assistance. Yes on 40, No on 41 and 42.

Unpopular opinion: "billionaires will flee" is a threat, not an argument. 3.4 million Californians could lose health coverage to federal cuts. They can't flee. Prop 40: 250 billionaires pay what they owe for hospitals, schools and food assistance. Yes on 40, No on 41 and 42.

Props 41 and 42 exist for one reason: to cancel Prop 40. Billionaires paid for them. Prop 40 has 250 billionaires pay what they owe so federal cuts don't close hospitals, gut schools or end food assistance. Yes on 40, No on 41 and 42. Pass it on.

The clinic closes first. The explanation comes later. That's the federal cuts hitting California. Prop 40 has 250 billionaires pay what they owe, one time, to fund hospitals, schools and food assistance. Yes on 40, No on 41 and 42. Seeing it where you live?

A billionaire paying 5% once is not a tragedy. An ER closing is. Federal cuts put health coverage for 3.4 million Californians at risk. Prop 40 has 250 billionaires pay what they owe to fund hospitals, schools and food assistance. Yes on 40, No on 41 and 42.

A billionaire who says “Tax me more”: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, worth ~$197B, calls paying up to $8B in taxes over five years a privilege and responsibility—while other billionaires threaten to leave California over Prop 40. https://bit.ly/3TIc5yK

Mehdi Hasan talks with economist Gabriel Zucman on tax avoidance and wealth inequality: “If you want to ensure that the super rich pay their fair share, you have to go after wealth itself.” https://bit.ly/4iJaiDS

Great conversation with @mollyjongfast.bsky.social — talked about why billionaires in this country pay lower tax rates than working people, why Gavin Newsom and the political establishment keep protecting them, and why Prop 40 makes billionaires finally pay what they owe. Give it a listen.

Went on the Signorile Show to say it plain: billionaires in this state refuse to pay what they owe, and our hospitals and schools foot the bill. Prop 40 fixes that — 250 CA billionaires, finally paying up. Yes on 40. No on 41 and 42.

If healthcare costs can push millions into poverty, we cannot afford to leave people without the programs that they rely on. This November, vote yes on Prop 40, a one-time 5% tax on billionaires, to make sure a medical bill doesn't become a financial crisis. https://nyti.ms/3TagVEK

Andrew Garfield hopes his new movie makes billionaires “scared shitless.” Maybe they should be. In California, billionaires get richer while working people face cuts to healthcare, schools, and essential services. We’re done letting them write the rules. Vote YES on Prop 40!

Billionaires lack manners and common courtesy. They pay lower tax rates than the rest of us, and now they’re flooding our screens with ads to make sure nothing changes. Read about it here: https://bit.ly/4A2DgEL

Musk and his billionaire friends think elections are just another marketplace, where enough money can buy enough votes. Let’s show them that our votes are not for sale by voting YES on Prop 40.

Healthcare costs set for biggest increase in 20 years, & working families will pay the price. Families shouldn’t have to choose between bills and care while billionaires sit on vast fortunes. That’s why I support Prop 40: it’s time for the wealthiest to pay their fair share.
